The wool has been removed from their eyes!
Our #zambian #youth #leaders who attended the pilot #workshop in December “shifted their mindsets” on their responsibilities for #fighting corruption and their participation has ignited a #grassroots #movement. The #interactive #carefully #constructed #workshop touched their #hearts and #minds and that’s what it takes… think like Maya Angelo 😊
They’re taking their #responsibility seriously and in all ten provinces, especially in the #rural areas, are spearheading the fight against corruption.
Since January, and in two months, they’ve #collaborated with law enforcement agencies, especially with #Anti #Corruption #Commission, and touched over 550,000 youth in face to face sessions, over the radio, and on social media. They’ve created songs and poems condemning corruption and inviting their peers to call out #corruption.
They are seeking audiences within learning institutions, working with #traditional leaders, #churches and other youth #organizations on the fight against corruption. Their #energy and #enthusiasm is overwhelmingly positive.
They’re calling out corruption as they see it.
Zambian #youth #leaders are not playing and this is just the beginning. Here are a few pictures and quotes from engaged youth.
This is game changing and #increases the #Diaspora confidence in investing resources or time back home. Nobody wants to invest in a #corrupt country
