On behalf of Zambians Promoting Leadership in America (ZLA) and the Association of Zambians in Atlanta (AZA), we would like to thank our sponsors, donors, out of town and intown guests who joined us on Friday, October 18th through Sunday, October 19th to celebrate Zambia @ 55 independence celebrations in Atlanta, Georgia.

On Friday, October 18th, we thank Ms. Dolika Banda, Ms. Constance Moonzwe and Dr. Brian Malambo for imparting their knowledge on investments and opportunities for the Diaspora.  Our moderators; Eno Mwamba and Dr. Felicia Mabuza Suttle were remarkable.  Friday night, we thank DJ Gesh Grove and Dj Flo Kid for keeping us on our toes at Crown Sports Bar and Grill.

Saturday night was epic, we thank H.E. Ambassador Dr. Ngosa Simbyakula, Attorney General Thurbert Baker, Ms. Naomi King, Dr. Joe Beasley, Mr. Akende Munalula, Mr. John Edozie, Dr. Kenneth Mwenda, Mr. Hugh Molotsi, Mr. George Kabwe, and our distinguished guests (too many to mention) who came to celebrate Zambia @ 55 black tie event.  Our Mistress and Master of ceremony: Ms. Lukwesa Morin and Chisala Chitoshi Jr., and speakers: Ms. Lynda Mataka, Mr. Markus Green and Ms. Julie Ann Constanza Savarit.  The networking was worth millions in kwacha and dollars.  We congratulate our honorees: Mr. Mwansa Mapunda, Ms. Priscar Zulu, Mr. Ray Jackson, Dr. Anna Katema Banda and Dr. Felicia Mabuza Suttle.  A musical note of thanks to our entertainment: Ollie Paterson Jazz, Zed Trio, Ms. Sylvie Chibiliti, Mando Hill and CQ.  Special thanks to our students (aka our future leaders) Ms. Chipo Chapusha, Ms. Zewelanji Chimponda, Mr. Meek Denson, Ms. Mphande Phiri and Mr. Kalo Sikalumbi.

Sunday, thanks to Ikes Café and Grill for hosting our lunch and DJ Gesh Groove’s live broadcast for FlavaFM.

In summary, we thank you for the opportunity to give you a memorable experience.
